The Caesarean Birth Network

One of the most important things you can do for your mental health during the pregnancy and postnatal period, is to be part of a community. They say it takes a village, after all….

What’s it all about?

Founded by Carolyn, The Caesarean Birth Network is a space to learn, to connect, to share and above all else, to improve the experiences of all people who require a caesarean birth.

With the current caesarean birth rate sitting at 1 in 3 in Scotland and 1 in 4 in England and Wales, it’s more important than ever for people to be prepared for this eventuality, so that the experience can remain a positive one.

Why should I join?

  • Get answers to questions that you can’t just Google
  • Learn faster and make better decisions about how you’d like to experience your caesarean birth
  • Share stories, experiences, and ideas with each other
  • Find inspiration from other members who are on the same path

“I joined by chance as the group appeared on Facebook. Having just had an emergency c section it seemed a good idea to join for support. It has been a great group to discuss experiences so I don’t feel alone. But it has opened up my options for future births that I didn’t think would be possible.”
